Unearthing new space in a marketplace steeped in tradition

As an emerging brand category in people’s minds, the challenge with lab-grown diamonds was helping potential customers understand the new proposition quickly amongst all the other diamond buying choices.

Following a detailed verbal identity process the name ‘Born’ was selected. It aptly represented the act of creation for lab-grown diamonds, whilst adding plenty of emotion into the proposition. The identity’s direction steered away from the traditional towards a more contemporary, fashion-orientated aesthetic.

‘B’ is for Born

The ‘B’ shaped monogram lent itself perfectly as a window for messaging. Stills, video and animation featured inside the shape making it a truly flexible brand device.
